Hi all, this is my first time in this forum. I have been reading a lot of threads and I think it is great.

Well to get my question. I am having a problem with my keyless remote. It suddenly died. I have tried changing the battery and still nothing. I know the problem is with the remote, because the other one still works fine. I also tried reprogramming it, but still flatline. Does anyone have any idea as to what happened? Why did it suddenly stop working? WhAt can I do to fix it, without having to buy a new one. I called the dealer and they go for $110.

I would realy appreciate it if someone has some information on this subject.

Thanks in Advance

Aside from making sure the battery leads/terminals are clean and properly bent... Not sure what else you can do if you have already tried to reprogram it...

Maybe someone here can give you a link to a dealership so you can get a new one cheap ...

exact same problem... does your alarm still set when you lock the car, thats what mine does. I posted this a while back and a few people said that the chip in the car can go bad and need to be replaced, i think they said it was around 80 bucks.

ya ebay definitely has them btw.

Yes, Everything still works fine. The only problem is that one of the remotes stopped working. I thought it was the battery, but I changed the battery from the other remote and still nothing, I changed the battery back to the working remote and works fine. At that point I knew the problem was with the remote. I tried reprogramming it but still no luck. I am pretty sure there is a problem with one of the remotes. I am trying to get all the info I can before I go out and spend $50-$100 on a new remote. Maybe, just maybe there is some way I can fix the remote and not spend that extra money.
