If you run out then find a hill and set your car so that the front is pointing towards the bottom of the hill, start your car, haul *** to the closest gas station.

I did this. I ran out of gas before getting to the top of my neighborhood hill. I drifted all the way to the bottom in neutral, started the car, did 50 all the way to the gas station that was half a mile away.
