tranny problems

i was driving my car yesterday and i was in fourth gear and then all of a sudden after i let off of the gas pedal the shifter went out of gear into neutral.

now a day later, i cant even put it in 4th without it coming out. and also in other gears if i let off the gas pedal it will pull out of gear into neutral.
I really need help because I dont know what to do.....

thanks

Sounds like the throw out bearing or maybe you lost 4th gear. How many miles on the clutch? when was the last time the tranny was flushed?

The previous owner of my car told me I would need to replace the throwout bearing eventually because he regreased it a while back... what is the throwout bearing?? Price, and would it be necessary to rebuild the transmission?? Car is a 95 with 153k miles on it, drives great-has lightened flywheel and newer clutch?? Any ideas/info would be greatly appreciated..

Its not the bearing but an internal trans problem.
