Apparently you missed my update. It's both inner and outer, not just outer.

Still not worth it. Inner lenses wont even be used. So its still $200 for some over priced plastic, half of wich wont be used. Might as well keep you eye out for some APC clears which will look better, or some david Ls for about $250 and not have to do any work.

Look, I'm just trying to get the community support for a new product. If you have nothing positive to say about it, don't reply in this thread. There aren't an infinite amount of David L tails...and likewise for APC tails. Eventually something new needs to be made.

Well more power to you, but bringing up something like this will get people to give their opinions and if you cant handle peoples opinions perhaps you should stay off the internet. Good luck getting these made, if it does actually happen you will make a lot of people happy.

Obviously it's going to bring up opinions, but keep them to yourself if they're negative. This thread is to try and get support for them, however little or large, and continued negative opinions do nothing but drive the support down. I don't care that you have your own opinion, whatever, that's great...point is, please keep it to yourself because you've already shared it once and you're doing nothing but hurting the support.

NOW onto the update...

They have now told me they will be offering the following choices:
-$250 for inner and outer red/clear lenses.
-$200 for inner and outer all clear lenses.
-$150 for just outer all clear lenses.

They tell me they will match the OEM look (as opposed to looking something like CE's tails). They are also not doing just outer red/clear lenses because they have no way of guaranteeing they'll match the red of the inner lenses 100%.

Great update! I would personally get the full set of all clears and paint the red myself. Done it multiple times now. Already got two cans of the Anodized Red VHT Metal Paint for them. Save me some money!

Thanks for taking the initiative on these Tatanko. If they need someone to be a tester, I am MORE than happy to help. I'll even pay, just let me know.

Pictures aren't available due to the fact that they've never made any. They would look almost exactly like the old APC all-clears though...and David L's assuming you got the red/clears. Just look those up if you want to see what they look like, or I can find pictures later (busy atm).

If you want to see their handy work, just check out their website (Klearz.com).

EDIT: Here is a picture of what the APC tails looked like:

And for the red/clears, take a look at vlasic or BlueBOB's sigs.

REMEMBER that they would be lenses only, NOT the whole housings. These pictures are example only.

When you DTM'd the outter lenses, did you remove the plastic reflector inside the housing?? I also DTM'd mine but when I put the plastic reflector back on, the painted portion is not much noticeable. The good thing about that is that it blended better with the inner lenses because the outter clear lense seems to be much whiter than the clear lense on the reverse light.

I DTM'ed both the inner and outer. The DTM process is to remove the reflector from the turn signal and reverse light area and paint the housing black. I simply followed this same process for mine.

Well if they did, they never took any pictures of it. The impression I got from talking with them was that they never got around to making a set.

EDIT: Just checked my email. They did in fact make a set, here is the picture they sent me:

They said there are indeed imperfections in it, but that's because their mold hadn't "broken in yet."

Also, guys, they are leaning towards not doing it. If you truly want them to do this, you need to let them know they have a market for it. I've already told them there is support, but I'm sure others emailing them wouldn't hurt!

He did make a set and took pictures, but he said they still had some bubbles in the lights or something. Someone should dig up the original thread

Well I've been having like 1-on-1 conversations with a particular person there, but, info@klearz.com is where I originally sent the "request."
