97-99 trunk lid conversion

I just got rear ended last night and now I need a new bumper. That gave me the excuse to do the 97-99 trunk conversion on my 96. I had 2 questions. Will the bumber from a 97-99 bolt right on or will it need custom work done? Also where can I find a trunk lid.? I am not paying over $600 for a carbon fiber trunk lid. I'd be painting it anyway and the weight difference is not worth it to me. I checked almost every junkyard in Orlando and I only found 2 but both had damage. Does anyone know where I can find a trunk lid new or used without paying over $400?

There was a thread last week, a member from the org found a cf trunk lid for a '95-'96 maxima on ebay for real cheap. I believe the winning bid was somewhere around $300. Anyway, try looking on ebay if you want a cf trunk lid, I can't think of any other place other than a junkyard where you can find a cheap trunk lid. The '97+ bumper should fit right onto your car.

That's a 97-99. I have yet to see any 95-96 CF trunk. I want one though.

Just look around the classifieds section and on eBay until you find one. I found one in pearl white that was local to me so I jumped on it.

i always thought that apart from the front bumper and the maxima emblem at the back, everything else was exactly the same, whenit comes to the 95-96 and the 97-99. i guess i thought wrong.
