95-96 vs 97-99 trunk lid

cause i bough a trunk lid but didnt put it on yet not sure what year it was off

I think the difference is with the taillight size.

it will stick out more on your bumper, and you need different lights

they dont stick out at all. 95-96 tail lights are a different size than the 97+

any year will fit any year with matching tails.

95-96 trunk lids have an indentation going across the lid. On the taillights, the reverse lights are on top. The Maxima emblem isn't once piece like the 97-99 trunk lids. I think that's about it.
