As long as it last, i hope its long.. But i will be staying in the nissan family.. Most likely get a Altima Se-R in red, they're starting to really catch my eye, especially my brother's own.

well....i would like to keep my car for about another 3 years, and keep it clean the way it is, then settle for another car. the only thing is that in about 3 years, my car will be so old that i wont get much money for it, so mind as well keep it right?
i will probably keep it until cars starts to fly.
keep it as a daily driver, and there is nothing more beautiful than seeing a 20year old car, looking in great shape still running.

Just picked my max up not to long ago for a ghetto dd. I tend to go through fazes though so I don't think I will have it for to long although it is in great condition. I like it but it is sort of a step backwards performance wise for me also no leather. I am thinking about a new Alt SER or mabey a subie next year who knows what else I will have my eye on by then. I have to many cars the way it is.

I'll have mine until it dies or until I can afford a WRX. Should be another 3-5 years.

I"ll be the odd one here, I prob wont ever get rid of my max, I just got a brand new sentra in september so that will last many years as a daily driver. I just got the 5spd max in october, its a 95, but I have a lot of things to do to it and all the time in the world. When its done, their will be too much into it to sell it, which means I'll keep it so long as it doesnt pose any kind of problem for space or something.

Will definatley keep my 95 Max for years to come. Bought it with 47,000 miles on it and now have 158,000...and not one thing wrong with the engine..it still purrs the same as the day I drove it off the lot. I may get another car someday (2007 Skyline $75,000) but I will NEVER get rid of my 95.

Nice rig!!! I would love to get my hands on something like that in a very good condition. If budget permits, I would love to have a 95-99 Land Cruiser. I used to own a 95 LC with all the options you can think off, even a full safari kit. Too bad I sold it a few years later.

I have already made the move and sold my 96 Maxima SE 5 speed for a 97 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4x4....FULLY LOADED including the rear e-locker. I'm loving my new SUV. Can't wait to take it off-road.

Now join the tundrasolutions.com forum, its an all Toyota forum. You will have great support from the 4Runner sub-forum. It's got great, mature, and very knowledgeable members. I was in the Tundra sub-forum when I had my 2k Tundra 4x4.

i wonder what the price of a WRX would be in 2-3 years. A WRX or a TL type-S w/navi is what i would like to replace my maxima. Hopefully in 2 years i can get them around $10k out the door.

well sad to say just the other day I all ready made my move. I'm 20 and I've owned 5 max's. 3 3rd gens and 2 4th gens. Loved every one. I had a sweet deal come up on a 5 speed 3rd gen vg, dropped on bbs wheels with a farily good custom blue paint job, all ready had new pioneer speakers and 15's in the trunk. Baisicly got it for free. Figured it was a good time to up grade. So I sold my sweet 95 for 6k and I'm looking for a clean 300zx tt for 10k or under. I can't wait. Sad to loose my girl though. Just glad I'll have a good combo of cars and no payments!

Get on ih8mud.com. Great place for everything Land Cruiser, great bunch of guys (& gals), best place to shop for a well-cared-for rig with quality mods.

Off-road? You'll have to lose the running boards, get a little more lift and some new tires.....

I'm not completely sure what the future holds for my Maxima. I'm moving away for school next fall so insurance prices will really determine what I'll do. I'm not going without something to drive, especially since I'm going into the Canadian Automotive Institute. I was thinking of selling the Max to get a cheaper car while I'm in school (maybe a 3rd gen) but my parents don't want me to sell the 99 so they said they would pay the insurance. I borrowed some money from them for the car which I want to pay off, but they told me it can wait until I'm done school.

So, I guess it looks like I'm with good 'ol Thunder Max for the next 4 years as a DD and then I'll probably use it as a summer car and keep it for a loooong time until its a classic By then hopefully it will be dropped with rims, etc. and faster than stock. At some point I'd like to get a 90-96 300 ZX and a 99-02 4Runner as well which shouldn't be hard because they'll be really old by the time I can afford them!

I'm not talking about hardcore off-roading, just some snow, sand, and maybe some mud. No boulders though, I will need to take off the running boards (which are quite useless), lift, larger tires, and maybe lower gearing to climb those boulders. I'm not sure how my 4Runner would look though w/o the running boards.

I'll probably keep this maxima for another 5-10 years. I don't ever want to have a car payment and I'm very satisfied with the looks and the performance for now. The only reason I'd get a newer car is to go faster, and instead of buying a new maxima or something I'm just going to drop a 3.5 in it and I'll have a 4 door car that's faster than about any sedan out there. I can't see spending $20-30k on a newer car that's just going to loose most of it's value in 5 years.

Well seeing as how I seem to find it necessary to get a new car(15 cars in 5 years) at least every year...I'm hoping my next will be a wrx. I'm yearning for a turbo and awd, I know I could have some fun in colorado with that setup. It would make my next grocery getter

I don't plan on getting rid of my 95SE, 5-speed, any time soon as it has less than 62K mostly highway miles on it and I've owned it since day 1.

I have another car for commuting and it should last until the rapid transit line is open from the suburb I live in of Vancouver, BC. It will link the airport and Richmond to downtown Vancouver in time for the February 2010 Winter Olympics.

Then there will be no need for a commuter car, the Maxima will convert to a daily driver and I'll probably get a 2 or 3 year-old Infiniti G35 or whatever turns my crank in about 4 years for road trips.

Im gonna keep my max for a while....not sure how long...but until something really catches me eye like this did. I wanted this car since the first day I saw it...and its funny its the exact one that got my attention. Literally..not the the same car with same options...but the exact car. Im thinking when Im done this I will move on to bigger and better things...def a 5 spd. Im looking at a few trucks, because I have wanted one for a while...but the G35 is looking mighty tempting...but its to expensive.

I'm keeping my Max until it drops dead. It has 164kmi on it and I'm currently in the process of bringing it back up to speed. Last owner (my older bother) didn't do jack to it.

I've already fixed the body (pays to have friends who work in body shops), changed the suspension...fixed all of the CEL issues.

Next project is to upgrade the audio (it's a GXE with a beat stock system)
Change ALL the fluids
Clean it up (buff, detail the shiznits out of the inside, clean the engine bay)
Get SE OEM rims
Get a new exhaust (OEM - I'm not into performance)
Install some cheap mods such as steel brakelines and so on...
After all that...I MIGHT get leather interior for it. If I do, that will be my last mod for the car.

Then...I will drive it till it drops. It should go until like 280kmi, 290kmi. My last car (subaru legacy 4wd turbo) gave out at 240kmi (all 4 seals leaked, bad exhaust, and messed up tranny) That thing was still kicken otherwise. I have good luck with cars.

Probably going to keep it until it starts giving me headaches or until i have enough money to buy a car i really want in cash... The longer i can hold out, the better my next car will be.
