My old max went to the wife. (I bought the 1998 Max on 12/31/99 with 16k on it) Wife just took a new job with a smaller company and no company car anymore - so she needed a car.

She inherited the old Max with 90,000 on it... I finally get to upgrade!
So I got a 2004 SE w/ 23k on it....

Will probably keep both Maximas until they are driven into the ground. I like buying a nice car and getting every penny of value out of it.

This time I made a big upgrade - the old one was a rental car, so it had pretty much NO options on it. The new one on the other hand has most of the optional upgrades - so it is quite a step up...

I'll keep my max till it dies.
It will become my "daily driver" once I get my supra back....
For now i'm gonna keep modding it a little more, and drive it till it dies.....

G4-put in a VQ35, and a 5th gen 5 speed..... it wont be boring any more.

I keep thinking about buying a new car..... but since the Max is the daily driver I may just keep it a few more years. I've been thinking about a new FSI GTI (since I work for VW) but if I wait a few years the employee deals will be better. By then the R36 should be out .... that would be the ticket.

2 da max...wut are you getting next a POS stang??

I said in the past that I'm keeping the Max til the wheels fall off, but now I changed my mind. Due to parking spot restriction at my condo complex and the necessity of me getting a pick-up truck, I am now looking to trade my Max for one. For me, its more of a practicality move.

I dont really like the 4th gen, I got one becuase I had to. I mean the 4th gen is what got me into the Maxima. But what I really want is the 6th gen, but cant afford the insurance on it, so I was forced to buy a 4th gen. I dont kno what my next car will be, since I finally got a Maxima, im not so sure if im into it that much anymore I used to love it, but its already becoming a money pit. So idk wat im getting next, im looking into the entire market.

I hope to keep and work on it for some time. I really like the E36 M3 four door but by the time I would be ready to buy one the Max would just be moved to DD or whatever. Wouldn't make much sense to sell/get rid of by that time.

Till the wheels fall off. It's everything but boring to drive and I plan on making it as fast as an N/A max can possibly be. I don't think I'm anywhere near that limit yet.

That's funny, the 3rd gen is what got me into Maxima's (5speedVE)

I couldn't believe the speed/handling that car had (knew nothing about Maxima's at the time). I thought they were just Accord/Camry fighters.

This Christmas, Eclipse titanium 12" sub w/ eclipse amp, microvision 7" screen, dvd player. Next spring, 5 spd swap. Summer... JWT or TC ECU and 00VI, 18" Enkei Evo 5's, Ksport or D2 coilovers (Haven't decided or done enough research yet to make that decision). I will keep my max till the day it dies... seeing as I have plenty of life left in it... 91k miles.

If and when the day finally comes where I have to part with it, I'll turn right around and buy another Max.... newer of course.

Gonna keep this max and boost it, it will be more fun to drive then. After that I would really want to try something with rear wheel drive and boost it too.
Since i'm getting older I have taste for lexus gs300 or is300/350. Money doesn't look like it will materialize for that anytime soon so 5.5 gen max maybe the next ride. Ironically nissan forgot how to make a sporty 4 dr sedan where as lexus is schooling folks.

when the mileage gets higher and i get out of debt, either throwing a 3.5 in, or buying an 02 6 speed... haven't decided yet, but i have time. im leaning more towards 3.5...that would just be fun.

Run it to the ground. Low mileage so I could probably sell it for a good price but would likely keep it as a daily driver if I bought a nicer car.

Down the road, I would throw some bills towards an A4/A6 or 5-Series..something 4 door, hot and not Japanese.

If everything goes well I should be buying my friends WRX early next month. Havent decided if I will sell this car or not. I really like it and if I do sell it, I may keep the parts and get another one again later. Its a fun car and there are a lot of things I would like to do, but I really want that WRX.

Definitely will keep the 98 SE 5-spd until it can't drive anymore. Was the original owner, so I guess I'm not willing to take $1500 or whatever it's worth for it. Has 115k with airbag lamp flashing and ABS activating sooner than it should, but it's still the daily driver. We got a new CR-V and e90 recently, but use only the max to take the dog wherever he needs to go. Have no plans to get a new car for at least 8-10 years. Will still keep test driving though, as long as the mfgs are willing to pay. And also attend the lexus/bmw/m-b events too.

Bought my '97 GLE December 31, 2004 w/ 116,xxx miles for $5,000. Figured it was a good deal, and I paid cash so I don't have monthly payments ( ) As time passes, I can see why people call this car a money pit.. Little things that break down every month add up, but that's not stopping my from modding the hell out of it. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade this car for anything else - except maybe a GS or the new 5-Series, but I can't afford that yet... Bottom line: love my Max, but I admit it's a money pit.

I plan on keeping it as a DD, as long as no one crashes into me. With as much as my car is worth (3700 in excellent condition as opposed to 5000+ that it was last year when I bought the car) it wouldn't be too difficult for the insurance company to total it. I love this car, but there are definately things that I get annoyed with. However, I probably won't fix them, and will try my best not to put so much more money into the car. Suspension is out of the question right now, unless I see myself keeping the car for more than another year. This summer, I'm hoping to come across an S14 shell that I can swap an engine into (KA and eventually turbo it, SR, or RB20 if I feel like it), and if I transfer from Rochester and go someplace South, I don't see myself staying FWD. I will miss the VQ though. The only way I'll get rid of this car is if I get another car, and some one offers a good deal, or crashes into it, or else I'll drive it til it dies. I do love the car though, and I have good days and I have bad days with her. Oh well.

I feel like talking more about my 240 dreams...I hope to find an S14 (95-98) (Due to the fact it comes with manual seatbelts, and airbags, otherwise I would pick up an older 240) with a blown engine, transmission in tact (which will give me the option of easily going SR or staying KA for cheap), that is in need of a SERIOUS detail. One that has swirls, a few scratches, and no rust that I could take my buffer and detailing products to it. The interior I can handle cleaning as well - shampooing the carpets and extracting and all that. A car that wasn't cared for cosmetically will bring the cost down at least 1000, which I can fix for less than 100 (considering I already have everything I need.) I hope this summer I will come across something like that....

My way of combating boredom is that I install mods every few months instead of all at once. So, whenever I get bored, I install a new mod and its like falling in love all over again.
I just paid the Max off and I really don't want to get into car payments again.
