A bit of a wierd question...

Just wondering, has anyone fitted skid plates to their car?

my dad's Volvo had one. and it wasn't the AWD version. it was a V70.

but back on topic, i don't think it would be a horrible idea, especially if you're dropped.

shouldnt be too hard to make one if you have a band saw and some basic metal working skills... just get a piece of posterboard and get under there and trace out the pattern you need and then transfer it to a sheet of aluminum and cut it out, then drill holes where you need it and find a way to fasten it to the underside of the car... hmm i might try it one day.

Skid plates are the metal underbody sheets that protect the car from damage/dirt. like on rally cars
