I'm on my second Diehard Gold and I will say that I'm not that impressed with this one as I was with the last one. I probably won't purchase another one of these. Up here in Canada, Kal tire is selling the die hard brand and I don't think that it's the same battery. I left the lights on in the car for like 2 hours and the new batter was dead. the old one had it not exploded, would still have had enough juice to turn over. Consumer reports rated the new die hards poorly and the Canadian tire battery placed 1,2, and 3. Weird huh?

Everstart, cheap. I get more than 3 years out of them in sub zero winter climate, and at the price (buy in spring) I could have two or more 3 year warranty batteries for the price of one 5 year Diehard. I used to buy Diehard, but these are too expensive. I don't see the value.

Use only distilled water and keep the level at the line all the time. I check mine about ewvery 6 months. Distilled water only is a key maintenance enhancement in my area.
