Y-Pipe Noise
Anybody here got a Budget Y with a stock muffler and it's just as quiet as the old stock flex section...or no matter what will the car be louder than stock even with a stock muffler?
Curious, cuz before I ever drove mine with a stock muffler I had a new aftermarket put on along with the Y Pipe, so I have no clue if it's the muffler creatin the loudness or the Y Pipe. It's not a ****ty sound by any means, it's a nice, mean low tone and alot of people like it including me, but I'm just tired of it.
Also, I know about resonators...but if I were to use a resonator...wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of havin a Y Pipe in the first place or no?

what type of muffler did you put on. Your best bet is probably to just put the stock muffler back on there if you want to quiet it down. If ya like it there than a resonator is your next option. Or option 3 would be to possibly get a different muffler.
