ECU Upgraded Shifting Auto

So in drive with an auto transmission it will shift at 6k rpms in first and 2nd and even in 3rd if you keep OD on. With an upgraded ecu does this still happen or will it go 6600 redline in drive?

you'll most likely have to manually shift, my 2-3 shift is at ~6100

with an extended redline, say 7000, YOU WILL HAVE TO manually shift, or the Transmission Control Module will shift early

that is why having 5-speed is better in THAT respect.

No, and there's no point unless you have a VI.

But when and if you do get one or have one... This thread is helpful.

you guys know the stock rpm gauge is inaccurate at high rpms right? What are you all using to get these redlines from?

My auto shifts at 6100 according to the SAFC
