1999 Maxima, Cylinder 4 Misfire, Where is this?!

I have codes 0201 and 0605 coming up.

I realize its an ignition coil, for cylinder 4. Can someone direct me to finding which coil needs replacment.

Thank you
aeroeck

How many miles on your max?

Also, replaced the coilpacks yet? They're widely known to fail early on '99s.

almost 90K on the max. I'm just trying to replace the one bad coil for the time being, looking into a newer max or 06 altima.

Should be middle cylinder on the bank facing the front of the car. Left side of engine is 1,3,5, right is 2,4,6...since (sadly) we're FWD the right bank faces forward.

At least that's how it is on my VG...should be the same on the VQ.

It would be the middle cylinder on the 'front' of the engine, facing the front of the car, underneath that Nissan cover plate.

True story. You either deal with new threads with already answered questions or old thread bumps.

It was the newb gremlins that told him to bump this thread

Back to the question, you either deal with the notorious 99 coil pack problem and buy new OEM packs for it, or you shut your mouth and deal with it!

...............End Thread.

Btw Mods, you should make it cardinal rule #1 when anybody signs up;

If you bump any thread older than 5 years old, you will be banned! Search first!
