Just plain weird.....

I've read a thread about this before but forgot when. Basically, for some odd unknown reason when I brake, my tach indicates that my RPM drops down to 500RPM. I know that I've read a thread about this somewhere. Any suggestions?

well at first i thought i was the transmisson/ torque converter.... i replaced both just because it had other problems.. but i did not correct the problem... the only other thing that i think could be the problem is either a fuel cut.. meaning that the pump is turning off...or some part of the fuel system....

Let me ask you this guys... when ur going 30 MPH what rpm is the engine at when you get off the gas? Mine actually goes down to 500 and then 700 and stays there untill i apply the gas
