Cruise Control Max Speed?

Cruise Control Max Speed?

I was driving along at 95 and I couldn't get the cruise control to take over, and after a few trys of pressing set and releasing the gas pedal, I noticed I slowed down to 88-89mph and then the cruise took over. I tried pressed accel and it speed up to 90 then the tach dropped and it just cruised.

Has anyone else tried this? Does it max out at 90? I had to stay at 90 for a while then just gave up and turned it off so I could go faster.

By the way anyone who says 20-30 mph faster won't make a difference is wrong, I has 1-1/2 hour faster than my best time on this trip.

damn dont you guys care about gas mileage....i normally cruise at around 70-75 and ill still be passin cars left and right

It can't go over 90mph. If you are going over that then you probably shouldn't be on cruise control anyway and Nissan had the same thought.

yeah it took an extra 1/4 tank, but 1-1/2 hour less on a boring a$$ drive: well worth it!

I totally agree with this. It really isn't safe to use cruise control at that speed....You should be in complete control at all times.

Just my opinion though....

In Atlanta if you are doin 70-75 you are in the right lane.

The thing I love the most is that it's minivans and Silverado's that are going by at 80-85. I also agree with Nissan on this one. You don't pay as much attention with cruise, if you came up to an accident with stopped traffic with cruise on it makes it that much harder (if you can deactivate in time) to stop.

On highway 99 in central california, the semi trucks are going 80+ and passing on the 2 lane highway. So 90+ isn't that bad as long as you keep your eyes peeled for Highway Patrol.

92mph in both of my maximas that have cruise control. The turbo one doesn't.

um the cruise control in my 95 always set over 90..you had to accel over 90 yourself, it wouldnt do it for you.

Um...where the hell are you driving? I don't live that far from you and on I-:476;76;295;95;495;80 and whatever else highway I'm on nearby I'm driving 80+ just to keep up with traffic. And when I'm in NJ, it's often 90+ just to keep up with traffic.
