Cruise Control Max Speed?

Cruise Control Max Speed?
I was driving along at 95 and I couldn't get the cruise control to take over, and after a few trys of pressing set and releasing the gas pedal, I noticed I slowed down to 88-89mph and then the cruise took over. I tried pressed accel and it speed up to 90 then the tach dropped and it just cruised.
Has anyone else tried this? Does it max out at 90? I had to stay at 90 for a while then just gave up and turned it off so I could go faster.
By the way anyone who says 20-30 mph faster won't make a difference is wrong, I has 1-1/2 hour faster than my best time on this trip.

yeah it took an extra 1/4 tank, but 1-1/2 hour less on a boring a$$ drive: well worth it!

Just my opinion though....

The thing I love the most is that it's minivans and Silverado's that are going by at 80-85. I also agree with Nissan on this one. You don't pay as much attention with cruise, if you came up to an accident with stopped traffic with cruise on it makes it that much harder (if you can deactivate in time) to stop.

On highway 99 in central california, the semi trucks are going 80+ and passing on the 2 lane highway. So 90+ isn't that bad as long as you keep your eyes peeled for Highway Patrol.

Considering 90mph is ~ 15 mph above any or all speed limits, it's understandable.
