Any type TB/carb cleaner should be adequate.

Take the entire unit off, this makes the cleaning thorough, and complete.

Don't ask how to take it off, just try it, and if you have any problmes during ... then post.

Cheapest carb cleaner you can find. I've even used Seafoam Deep Creep because I had it around. You can try using a toothbrush to loosen up the gunk, then wipe it out with a few paper towels.

Don't forget, the car needs to be OFF. I've seen people on this site post that they've done it with the car running, and that's just plain stupid.

It sure was tough, especially getting the hood open ... From there it was kind of easy, as I always wondered what that small latch was under the driverside dash. Now I undrstand the picture on the latch, and realize it's for the hood and needs to be pulled for the hood to be able to open. Who would've ever thought pulling that thing would actually make the hood easier to open...

Throttle body cleaner, some paper towel/clean rags, and a tooth brush really helps get the gunk out of the throttle body.
