At 70 mph in 5th gear, I am about 2,950 rpms. At 75 mph, I am about 3,100 rpms or perhaps a little more. This is on OEM 15" sawblades with 215-60R-15 new Yokohama Avid H4S tires.

I was suggesting that given my stock setup, my odometer reflects the actual speed!

Yup, one of my complaints about the Maxima. I can only imagine the gas mileage I would acheive on the highway if I didn't cruise at 3-3.5k rpms.
My previous first car (beater,) a '94 eclipse (base model, 5MT) was closer to 4k at 80mph... then again that was a 1.8l four cylinder, so who knows...
