Are you 5sp or Auto? You can probalby get in front of most of the cars you listed off of the line except for the camaro. You can actually get most cars until 60mph or so. Faster than that, and the top end on some of these other cars may give them the edge.

winning or losing is part of the game but never show fear even if you know you can't win. always be ready for anything. having a clear mind is very important. this is coming from the slowest max on the board (me)

I don't think you should fear anyone. Just race them. You can't win them all. And who cares if you lose, that's part of the game. However, if you'll have more of a chance against those cars if you're modded. Stock wise, I don't you'll do so good. Just race them though, no reason to fear them.

in the 4th gen max, the trade off for all that torque off the line was a lack of top end after 5500rpm or so.

part of the design. there's been a lot of discussion on this board of why this is so, but i think the low down is this...

long intake runners on the intake manifold (like the ones on the 4th gen max) are good for low end torque. short runners are good for top end. so by design, you can only have one or the other. however, the 5th gen max's have a valve which directs air through the long runners during low rpms and through a combination of the short and long runners during high rpms. if you really want to see this exaggerated, take a look at the intake manifold on 1st/2nd gen Taurus SHO. it has really long long runners and really short short runners.

therefore, you can take most cars off the line, but on the top end, your car will gasp for air. a supercharger should help if you want to beat them

If you have a 5sp, you really dont have much to fear other than the V8 Camaro. You should handle the other cars easily. If you have an auto, your chances are worse against all of the above. Get some mods, such as a CAI, cat-back exhaust, performance clutch(5sp), supercharger, etc. and you will have others fearing you.
