I don't think you should fear anyone. Just race them. You can't win them all. And who cares if you lose, that's part of the game. However, if you'll have more of a chance against those cars if you're modded. Stock wise, I don't you'll do so good. Just race them though, no reason to fear them.

seriously, it's all about having fun, being safe, and make sure you watch for cops!!! haha... because those black and white cars will always beat you!

part of the design. there's been a lot of discussion on this board of why this is so, but i think the low down is this...
long intake runners on the intake manifold (like the ones on the 4th gen max) are good for low end torque. short runners are good for top end. so by design, you can only have one or the other. however, the 5th gen max's have a valve which directs air through the long runners during low rpms and through a combination of the short and long runners during high rpms. if you really want to see this exaggerated, take a look at the intake manifold on 1st/2nd gen Taurus SHO. it has really long long runners and really short short runners.
therefore, you can take most cars off the line, but on the top end, your car will gasp for air. a supercharger should help if you want to beat them
