yet another problem.... PLZ help...

today when i started my car and shifted into R, i heard some loud metallic vibration coming from under the car (front, below engine bay... i think) as i start to drive it goes away. i pull up to a red light and am in D, i hear the same matallic vibration. you can hear it everytime am stationary, its loud too u can hear over the heater (was present while the heater was off too). so what do you guys think the problem is?

ps. after how many miles do stock shocks need replacing (am at 78100, 95' gle), any signs of them needing to be replaced (sounds)?

If your sationary while you hear the sound, could be a loose bracket underneath, loose flex section on your Y-pipe, or it can be the inside of your cat deteriorating. If its a metal sound, to me, it sounds exhauast related. Get to a muffler shop and have em put it on a lift.

They will probably say nothing. Its not illegal to have a Cat-back on your car...They will put it running up on the lift and check for the noise...really not a big deal

Yea, it's definately your exhaust somewhere. Two areas to check would be the Y-Pipe hanger and the B-Pipe hanger.
