For abiout the last 3 months I've been hearing a squeaking/chirping sound coming from my front passenger wheel. This only happens when I'm driving over uneven roads and some bumps. I took the car to the dealership and was told I needed to replace the lower control arms but the warrantty had expired and they wanted to charge $1000. My father and I replaced the side hat the noise came from but it is still there. Any new ideas?? I was thinking maybe its a bad shock. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be strut mounts...

With the hood open, bounce the car up and down and see if there is any movement of the top of the strut. There should be no movement.... also see if you can tell if that's where the squeaking is coming from....

Thank you, that was the problem!! I never thought to do that. Now that I know what's wrong how can I fix this??
