My light just recently came on with steady blinking constantly. The manual says they may not come on in an accident when this happens and to get it checked out by a dealer as soon as possible. I have not been able to find the time yet.

Here's a link to the stickies. The proceedure listed to reset the air bag computer worked for me. I had to do it a couple of times before it worked.
If your light has blinked for a long time it may not work. Also if something is broken once the computer resets it will find the same problem again and continue to blink. If resetting the computer doesn't reset the light a trip to the dealer is called for.

When you get to the linked page press (control f) then search for air bag.

Thank you! I have scanned the stickies several times searching for different things, but I never realized that was in there!

This isn't an inspection issue?

you wont pass for sure. probably something wrong with the airbag module. if you want to pass inspection and not fix the problem, open up the dash, get electrical tape and wrap the blinking bulb. thats what i did =]
