Does the nissan production date matter for ignition coils?
I have a 1999 Maxima SE with a production date of 03-1999 and looking to replace all my 6 original (Hanshin) coilpacks.
I found a good deal online for brand new Hanshins but they are listed for production date 04-1999 to 11-2002. The part numbers are 22448-2Y000 and 22448-2Y005. The coils have the grey dots on them. Would these work on my Max? Does the production date in this case matter? Thanks to all in advance for your input.

Get Mitsubishi coils if you can... they have a longer life (based on empirical evidence) than the hanshins.
The coils you list are probably for the 00, 01 maximas - not for the 4th Gen. The grey-dot marking was only used on the 5th Gen coils AFAIK.
