Loping Idle, fuel smell, EGR code

What problems have other people had with the EGR system and how have you fixed it?

Or anyone who has had a loping idle (only in gear when stopped).

thnx

According to the Haynes manual, a leaking EGR valve will cause a loping idle.
If your throwing the code for EGR, test the system and/or replace the valve.

not to steal the thread but i had the egr solenoid replaced twice and i get 0302 still. But I left the code on the compute for about a month with out resetting it and then it just dissapeared off of the dashboard. I also get a high idle sometimes if im at a stop the idle will rise from 650 to 800 or 900
