I don't know if it's the pictures but kinda looks like there's some overspray on the bulbs and harness.

Questions for ya..

SHAVEDMAX>
Questions regarding the paint on ur blue/silver max....

Ok so i went to ur cardomain and got to looking at the paint a little more. I paint on the side and do small work for myself so im sorta experienced..

Q: I see you laid the Graphics first on a grey base and then on the final shots the rest of the top is blue. why not lay blue and then tape ur graphics out. then prime those spots and spray the color...

Did you really mask off the graphics after you finished them> then paint the remainder of the hood blue????

From the pics ur lines look really straight too.. Did you have a projector to help guide ur lines or a template? just wondering, ive used templates and dusted it> then went back and taped the lines off and sanded/painted.

Thanks for ur insight bro... ill be back on tomm..off work now~

I don't care about the front because the plastic pieces will cover that, I have to ask him about the rear wheel wells, it may just be the pictures, even the ground looks red.

Yeah looking at it again it's the pictures, the settings on the camera were to dark, or the room is to dark.

usually there's a bunch of overspray from painting, most is dry and will wash off, wheelwells can be undercoated, as well as underneath(i did mine, even though mine were taped off, it just makes for a cleaner finished product)

You won't be able to get very far with a red MAXIMA. You'd be the only one within a 500 mile radius of that city probably lol.

Will it just wash off with soap and water? I'll mention it to Tilley, overspray in the wheel wells will look horrible.

like he said chill out. he wouldnt do ya dirty, i dont think any body shop except macco would let ur car roll out with over spray like that. tilley is the man, and just by seeing the way that paint looks makes me want to take my car to him in spring. how do u think that color red with a silver pearl would look on an I30? I want something crazy different

I'll be honest with you, I've dealt with a lot of body shops and left them in full control with me knowing very little. Well in the end I wasn't to happy and it costed me a lot.

Tilley has appeased me on all levels. He did my motor swap, installed various parts, and now this. I know I will be happy and the pictures do look very good. But some of my paranoia does come from dealing with other body shops and crappy work. But honestly I know the car is in great hands and I know I will be very happy and if the funds are availble I'll get more work done from him at a later time.

I think you should definately bring your car to him, I'm not sure about the silver pearl, but you should definately check out the metallics. Sorta like mine .

Looking good Tilley! It looks like someone spent a lot of time prepping those body parts!!
It looks like most of the car is at least partially done. When do you expect it to be finished?

the reason why i left the trunk keyhole is because i want to be able to get into the car in the event that the battery dies. it comes from experience. same goes for getting in the trunk. climbing throughthe back seat into 4 hydraulic pumps and 4 marine batteries wired at 48volts isnt fun when you set the valet thing on the trunk lock.

2 da max you honestly did expect me to put on side skirts and no front/rear spoilers right? front is a stillen lip and rear is a modified ionic 2 piece, they werent painted when i took the picture. in fact the car was covered in bird crap when i took that picture, but i cut that tree down to prevent that from happening again.

mdeezy my car will be lower than anyone else on here, except maybe euromaxima, but only because he's on 19's and im on 20's.

and to anyone who doesnt like my car i built it for me not for you, just like harrish is doing
