HID...High Beam Light???

Just got the Helios bi-xenon kit. So its fully hooked up but now the high beam light stays lit on the insturment panel when low and high beam is on. Is this true for all hid kits?

Also when high beams are on they point down to the ground when low beams are on they point up. Not sure why this is reversed...anyone else have this issue?

Well the two wires below control the movement of the HID's. When they arent plugged in bulb wont move and they point down to the ground (low beam option)

But when they are plugged in (blue harness to bulb wiring) the bulbs move for high and low beam. With them plugged in tho they are reversed. Either way the high beam light inside of the panel stays on. Kinda wierd...do u think they shipped me the wrong wires?

Edit: The wires are the same...if you switch them from the right to the left they do nothing.

Well the high and low beam work when they are connected...it just seems like its reversed. Where would i buy a diode?

the kits comes with the diode, you can see on the bulbs, there is 3 wires, 2 for the igniter and one alone to the main harness. There is another one that has attached a little part, thats the diode. Just reversed and let me know what happen.

So I reconnected the hi/lo wires and reversed the two pins on the diode...and now the high beam is the only on that works.

On low beam there is no light output and the high beam light on the panel remains on.

so thats message means the diode was in the correct position. please explain me is the "easy way" what the cars do.

1- you press the high beam
2- you use just the low beam.

After I reversed the pins on the diode...

When I put the low beams on there is no light from the bulbs.

When I put the high beams on there is light from the bulbs.

Gotcha...

When the low beams were on they would point up and you could barely lit up the road ahead.

When the high beams are on they point down and light up the road just fine.

It seemed to me that the hi/lo beam are reversed. Also that the high beam light on the panel stays on the entire time (hi/lo beam).

o i see, did you install the bulbs fine? i mean the upper side maybe is down. The light always on means thats something is wrong in the connection(installation not the kit). Please check is all the ground wires and positive connections are fine.

i will go out of the office right now, i will reply tomorrow your comments.

Best Regards,

I have recently noticed this problem. My High Beams point straight up rather than effectively lighting the road ahead. It's like I don't have high beams at all! I've tried adjusting the beam downward trying to fix it, to no avail. All it does is take away from the effectiveness of my fog lights by pointing them straight down. The high beams on my 2006 Maxima SL do very little to light up the road. I have often wondered if there is a way the bulbs might have been installed upside down from the factory. I've never had to replace the bulbs so I don't know if there is any way they can be mounted upside down. If you've taken your light housing off and were able to flip the bulb, did it fix the problem? Please let me know.

I had that issue as well when i recently installed a set of HID's in a single bulb hi/low set up. It came out that the wires for the high and low were reversed. When i initially set it up, the highbeams came on with the low beam switch and vise versa. Also only the drivers side would light up the hid. If you reverse the polarity of the 2 then it SHOULD work. If it came with a connector on the hid system instead of just 3 pinsand no connector, then you may have to pull the pins out and just plug them into the stock harness. Maybe i'm way off on your problem, but this fixed my issue. however, it acts really funny with my remote start. It's like it spazzes out the lighting system completely if i remote start the car. Maybe you are having similar issues?
It was like my car had to "re-learn" what switches do what everytime i remote start the car.
