Pics of 4th gens with Tein H-Techs???

I havent seen very many pics of 4th gens with the H-techs. Mainly the s-techs or others. Ive seen quite a bit of 5th gens with pics on H-techs but not many, if any... 4th gens. Can I get some posts of pics with 4th gens on H-techs?

I was thinkin about getting them. The ride may be a smidgeon better. It's basically like going from a GXE to an SE suspension, nothing dramatic. Just depends what you want. I can tell you this. I tried modding my wheels/suspension and went conservative. It was all good for about 1 month until I wished I did the full drop and went 18"

agreed. unless you busted your stock springs, it hardly seems like much of an upgrade from stock. a bit stiffer, but if you want a subtle drop and stiffer ride, I would think Eibachs would be the better option.

I also have them, I really love them they make the car look level instead of the face up a** down look, Oh and they ride really good. Plus they look good with bigger wheels. I have 18" by the way.

It is true. I had them installed last week with AGX's. It's a beautiful thing. The car has a very nice stance, but not to low.

I had both Eibachs and Intrax on my car before the H-Techs... The H-Techs were "slightly" taller than my Intrax before them.

How about compared to the Eibachs for ride height? Also how would you compare the ride (harsh/soft) of H-techs to Eibachs. I have a pal who looking at H-techs as he only want to eliminate the 4x4 look but still wants a soft ride.

I dont think that the Tokico info is correct. I think is more like 1.8 front 1.6 rear. I have the Illuminas and Tokico Red Springs.

Yeah, I believe the tokico set up is also 1.8 and 1.6. They are my other option. I like the way those look as well. Can anyone compare them ride wise to any other spring?

I didn't "measure it" with all the springs to do a detailed comparison.. I would say Intrax are the lowest, then Eibach then the H-Tech but I changed other parts of the suspension during that time. I'm riding on modified (shortened) Konis up front and Motivational mounts on the rear. The rear Koni's are set to the lower perch position with the H-Tech, but on the "upper" position with the Intrax. I'm riding on 18" OZ Superleggeras with Continental 245/40 tires.

H-Tech ride is stiffer then SE springs as far as I can remember them. H-Techs are good for looks/ride quality, not autocrossing. You should buy the set depending on your needs (be realistic).

Is there a range of spring rate on the Eibachs because of the Sport & Pro models?

no, its the progressive rate increase. eibach doens not make ths sport line for the max. the companies usually dont list them like that, but they should. all of those aftermarket springs are progressive rate.

Are all these pics with H-Techs?
What is the tire size on the "new rim" pics?
What struts are you using?
How's the ride?

Very nice Max! hectorc, you've done a nice job on yours too.

I'll have to consider the H-Tech's when I can afford a drop.

for a daily driver sure, progressive allows for low rates and a comfortable ride. when you corner hard the spring gets stiffer for a more controlled ride and better performance.

Are H&R's progressive?

Are H&R's a smoother ride the Progress Springs?

I have H&R's and i think they are okay, but local streets suck.

I love my H-Techs with Illuminas, it's a nice smooth ride even over bad roads (which are quite common here), still perform more than well enough for the street, and reduces the wheel gap a decent amount. I don't want my bumper dragging on the street from being slammed, because Pittsburgh has a decent number of hills. I used to have Maxspeed springs, this drops slightly more than the Maxspeeds, rides smoother, and handles just as well if not better.

Short version - they're a good spring for people who want a fairly comfy ride yet still good handling and no 4x4 look.

Check my homepage for pics with 17s. I have no complaints with them. Yeah the drop could be lower but I don't want to have to worry about scraping and have a harsher ride. Even if they are among the softer springs, the handling is still 10x better than stock
