Painting lesson well learned

#1 do not have 2 gallons of different but very similar colors.
#2 dont be and idiot like me and paint half the car with the wrong color, and not realize it till you roll the car outside...
#3 realizing your stupid mistake caused you to add 2 extra days worth of sanding and repainting the darn car to make it match...

God I feel like a dumb a$$.

oh well gonna fade the existing color with the new one... Darker in the front faded to lighter in the back.... Who knows maybe it will look good

Hehe. GL getting it all together, with a good fade 2 very similar colors should be easily overlooked.

nah i had mixed up 2 different but very similar colors at work one day one is from a 05 SER and the other an 05 mazda RX8 combine the two together and tweak the mix just right and you have a very nice color. Well I grabbed the can that was not tweaked, working in a garage at 2:30 in the morning painting under florescent lights, it looked great and matched perfectly, wheel it out the next morning after drying and OMFG it was very very off darker in the front and very bright and light in the back..... I dont think I have ever been so pissed..... oh well its fixed now.

How hard is it to learn to pain. I have a compressor with a painting utencil, and I didn't know if this was one of those things that's very tedious or what.

painting is not really hard at all. It just takes practice.
