Engine Movement

hey guys. i got a quick question about my engine moving. i popped my hood just to peek around and make sure everything was alright. i gave it a quick rev and the motor moved like a inch backwards then snapped back after i let off the throttle. Would this be the motor mounts asking for a changing?

thanks

sean

15/56 of an inch

There really isnt a Tolerable movement in a motor. Zero would be best but you would feel every little vibration of the motor. If you think your motor mounts are shot, go and have them looked at or slide a jack underneath and get on your back. There really isnt any type of "measurment" that can be done. Saying your motor moves an inch is kind of vauge.
