Melted Dash Kit

So I've got the woodgrain dashkit in my 98 SE and the past few years I've been parking it in the sun all day during work, which has started to melt the $hit out of some parts of the dash kit. Wondering if anybody knows where I can get a replacement for a good deal.

Is it an original Nissan woodgrain kit? And is that what you are looking for in terms of a replacement?

Yeah the original would be fine. I also sort of like that brushed aluminum look, but I'm afraid it won't look as classy

Brushed would look nice with a black interior (IMHO).

Those wood grain pieces are not cheap. I would try any of the wholesale parts sites, jerry rome, pinnacle, garrands nissan, etc.

Just out of curiosity, is the kit you have a stick on? or did you have to actually swap out the original non-wood pieces? i.e. like the GLE trim level.

The kit I have is the original, all the pieces are woodgrain. Yeah, I'm really not sure if I would like the brushed better - I'd like to actually sit in one with it. It seems like it's pretty slick though

I think the brushed finish is much nicer than the plastic wood that we have (ala GLE)... compare the M45 wood vs. brushed for example:

Yeah that looks slick - so where's the best place to get that nice dark brushed aluminum?

That I can't help you with , but I saw your other thread asking for pics.. hopefully you'll get some ideas.

Also check out member rides/car domain.. you might see something you like and you can ask the owner directly.
