clutch engagement point?

I got my clutch changed several months ago and I noticed that the thing is catching way too high. Is there any way I can adjust this to where I want it or did the tech who installed it take too much off the flywheel and I am just SOL? I didn't think I could adjust it because it is a hydraulic system until my friend who has a '97 328i told me he could adjust his. This gave me some of glimmer of hope. Anybody know?

It has to do with your pressure plate. You can get it changed, so don't worry about it

you can do it yourself. Get under your dash and look by the clutch pedal. There is a rod going into the firewall (goes into the clutch master clylinder) and there is a nut on the back of this tiny bracket. Loosen the nut and twist the rod (not sure which way) and tighten it back up. Start up and see where it engages and adjust accordingly.

Only make small adjustments to the rod. Counter clockwise will lower the engagement point.

well it worked but didn't do what I expected exactly. All it really did was adjust the freeplay of the pedal not where the clutch actually engages. Oh well, thanks for the help guys.
