it would prolly be more like 225/55...thats an odd size only like 2 choices on tirerack......even 225/60 dont have the sumitomos....u will have better luck with 225/50 (smaller sidewall) or 215/60

i personally use HTRZs for summer

215/60/15 good all around size. If you drive in snow you don't want to go too wide. The wider the tire the worse it is in snow and winter weather. Get a tire that fits your needs, I like Cooper Touring, not too expensive, wear great, and the ride is smooth and quiet. Just make sure you get road hazard, costs nothing, they don't fix flats, they replace the tire minus tread used.

gxe/gle= 205/65
se= 215/60

225/50 will be bulging but will fit the 6.5" rim width. many people run with 225 wide drag radials. but they are rather short. definetly dont go wider.

The 205/65R15 will give you a less wheel gap, but only slightly, because they are only 0.3" taller than the 215/60R15, but the 215/60R15 are slightly wider.

with the 2 sizes JSutter gave, there is no real gap difference. slightly wider= 215/60. overall height will be very, very close, maybe a half inch more for 205/65.

Just keep the OEM size of 205/65/15. Most knowledgeable people would agree that car makers are usually conservative with tires sizes, so if anything it could stand to be a little "tighter" on the wheel. If you go wider, the sidewall will just have less support and will be squishy and stuff.

go look at some other cars. many domestic sedans (fords/gm/chry.) have 215/65 or larger. see if you like the look.
