Ok now that we're all "over it" you go ahead and read up in the last few pages of it and stop acting like a newbie.

Geez, the guy just had a question that could be answered ever so simply and quickly....

I have a B&M and I gotta say that I absolutely love it. Thing shifts like a champ, and each gear has a tangible (not audible) click that feels very assuring. I, too, expereinced some rattle, but I solved that problem by taking the shifter apart and putting some Permetex gasket sealer between the shift rod and the brass collar. No more rattles and I think it looks and feels great with my Sparco Tecno shift ****. Plus, it's the perfect height and distance at which I can keep my hand on the shifter while driving and still play with the HU.

well all you noobs are posting these annoying reposts....if you just read the stickies or did a little searching around, you'd find your answer or could just ask another related question in an existing post...these reposts clutter up the board, thats part of the reason they don't let you post before 15 so you can maybe figure this out...sorry for the rant again, im done

DrTySOUFMaX23 arent you afraid of shifting out of gear without a shift button?? I mean you wont be able to put it in reverse when driving(unless ofcourse your braking) but still....

Well, the shift support rod mount (sits behind the shifter) is brand new and the main tranny mount is brand new too. The main shift control rod bushing (connects the rod to the transmission) is extremely worn.

Since there are TONS of people who have the b&m with no rattles, I think the issue is due to my install.

the cons to this are the fact that 1. you do the work for this and get relatively little gain compared to an sts and 2. it now requires more force to get the car into gear because you have less leverage on the shifter. it does look good though.

You will have an extrememly hard time finding an SRE STS. Time to start looking into other options.

Not to rub it into your face: but I love my SRE
