I have had a Budget Y for a little over a year now, just the other day I noticed a rattle coming from under the front seats during high idle (warming the car up), sounded like pipe on frame.

Is this an issue with Budget Y's (especially the ones with the angled connection after the flex section)? Has anyone esle had issues with their Y-pipe rattling and if so, what can be done to resolve? If the answer is cinching it down, where should I cinch to aviod putting stress on the flex section?

Mine rattled it was the heat shield on the cat...I broke the head off the bolt so had to bend it away from the cat....

I don't remember the piping on the y-pipe being close to any obstructions that would cause rattling though...

Did you re-use the hangers by the flex?
