would something like this fir our cars
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLACK...QQcmdZViewItem they claim to have the sliders to fit our cars. I want to upgrade my seats but I don't want the standard 350z or g35 set up (although they look great). I'm looking for something a little different. I want to know if these could be used with our power controls? I really think they would look great with the I-30 perf. rears seat.

man racing seats with creature comforts. what a great idea i love it. may not be as light as regular race seats but who cares if you wanted to go real fast you wouldnt have a maxima. i like the idea. im sure you can get brackets that will fit. but on the power control...no...if you have original heated seats like i do you should just be able to reuse those controls.

well the heat is not a problem anyway they sell them for $100 less without it if you didn't want it. I just wish I could have the power because race seats with all of the bells and whistles IS a great idea(just like a 911)!!!!! I'm not worried about the weight. But they still should be alot lighter than stock anyway. So no way to give them the POWER!?

Heated seats are worth every penny you spend.

mmmmmmmmmmmm I want heated seats. But a remote starter works well enough right now.
I know when i wen to put sparcos in my car the mounting brakcets made the seat to high for me to be comfortable. I was unable to get in and out easily. I am not a small guy either but they really were just to high. take that into thought

thanks I will. I email them and I'm waiting on a responce now they show some cars having power?????? I still may have hope! I dont think it will be to high if I can use the OEM power seat brackets since they go up and down.

I think that pretty much any seat can be made to fit, they're all roughly the same size, especially if you go within the same make.
For example, I'm planning to get some S15 seats eventually for my '95, as they're OEM nissan seats (so it shouldn't require that much modification) and they provide excellent support.

Another cheap recaro style seat source is z31 300zx's (rumor has it that the seats are recaros). My old Z had the best seats in regards to the balance of comfort and support, with adjustable everything including side bolsters. If you have access to BASIC metalworking tools it isnt hard to make custom seat brackets. Getting interior colours to match is another story.

I thought about that also but I'd still have to have them recovered (unless I find them in black leather and great condition HA HA HA). they are still harder to find and more expensive (IMHO). Does anyone have the blow up of the factory seats (that shows the different parts) or picture of one disassembled. I would like to see if it would be possible.
