Front wheel Bearing/Hub - less than 2 years?
I had both front wheel bearings/hubs replaced 2 years ago. Less than 20,000 miles in 2 years on them. Getting the same sound again. I'm being told by mechanic that both need to be replace again. Is it possible for them to go bad this soon? What could cause them to go bad so fast?

what are some symptoms of bad wheel bearings? My steering is sloppy on the highway and car is very unstable. I got Kybs with eibachs installed , new tie-rod ends and lower ball joints as well about 7 months ago. Could it be wheel bearings? or maybe inner tierod ends?

Could be possible that they go bad in 2 years. It would depend on the parts used and the knowledge of the person installing them. If they are installed incorrect then you bet they will go out soon. I put 220,000 miles on my original bearings and hubs. I expect to get the same out of the new parts I just put on.
Though on a side note I am suspicious of how a lowered suspension wears on the bearings. I noticed that when both of mine went out the bearing chewed up the inner section of the hub (part farthest from the wheel studs). Only time will tell if its because I was lowered or if this is just how things normally happen.

I am curious how a lowered setup wear out parts.
I've heard over torquing the axle nut can cause the bearing to go bad. Have you hit a lot of pot holes? or bumps?
Its intersting because my brothers Max, had new bearing put in about 8 months ago, and its starting to make the same noise again. . .
