Is that a good deal? Should I get that and do all my work on that, and then drop it in my car?
Thanks guys...

if you are changing the internals then the mileage shouldn't matter.. see if you can find one with 120k on it..

well, i have an S/C coming. I'm talking like all new internals, upgraded everything, blueprinted balanced , etc.

if you skipped through http://www.copartfinder.com and didn't find a better deal.. then i say go for it..
Who is going to to the work? Where are you going get the parts?? Most of these VQ internals will have to be custom made. Do you know what specs to give to the piston maker? Do you know how much boost vs compression you can use? Do you know what these "internals" will do w/ the stock Nissan ecu program and emissions?? Do you know if up the compression it might knock like a woodpecker? Do you know if you lower the compression too much, it might not even idle or run right in the lower rpms? Too low of compression on the stock ecu might even foul the plugs and make your car instantly not pass emissions. I hope you know what your getting into. You will want to set aside another 2-3 grand on top of the engine purchase for parts(if they exist)/labor(if the machine shop even knows how to work on the VQ)(hopefully you won't be the guinea pig!)
I know there are a select few, who have done this and have had it work, and I have been in contact with them, so I know where it is going to take me. I know I will have to spend about another 4K on top before i'm done, but it'll be worth it, to finally be part of the select few.
I just put a motor and tranny in my car. The tranny was used, it came out of a 95 SE and cost $850 with a $100 core. The motor came out of a 98 max with 30k miles and the car was an automatic. I paid $1200 for the motor. The difference in the the motors in the automatic and manual maximas is the intake manifold. The automatic manifold has three extra vacuum lines. If you put it on a manual maxima, it will turn your check engine light on. The only way to cut it off is to put an intake manifold off of a manual max.
