crank pulley removal question

How do you take a crank pulley off of a manual motor? The engine is out of the car and I have no flywheel on the motor or available to put on the engine. Would a quick blip with an air gun take it off? Also does the bolt come loose like a normal bolt? Lefty Loosey? Please let me know if you have any insight. Thanks.

Yup - it's lefty-loosey and a few blips of the air gun should break it loose.

I'll try it in the morning, and will post back if that does not work. Thanks for the advice.

Depending how much power your putting through that gun, it will or wont come off..

But assuming you have a good gun/compressor it will come off easy.

the gun did not work. So I tired the breaker bar again, and broke my craftsman 1/2>>3/8 reducer. I do have an auto flywheel I can bolt back on, though I am not sure where I can wedge it, because when I was using the breaker bar I was filping the motor over. Anyother ideas would be great.

Hey man, if your trying to pull it off for me, dont bother with it. I think I may have found one locally and I dont want you ruining any more tools, plus spending your freetime on it.
Thankks for the effort though!
But if you do get it off, I beleive fanaticrockford is looking for one also.

You just wedge the flywheel at the very bottom, works quite well, I just used a drill bit and wedged it in. Concerning the breaker bar, ya no way are you going to get it off with a 1/2 to 3/8ths, I tried and broke many of those and finally just got a 1/2 socket and it came off so easy it was a joke, i tried an airgun also, didn't happen...
