car stopped working, plz help

hey guys, my car for some reason stopped working this morning when i went to start it up. i turn the key i did get a cracky kinda a noise like it wanted to kick over but it just didnt have the power to fully kick over. when i tried it again after coming back from the city, i dont even get that i get a very deep hissing (there might be a better word then hissing, but its 130am and i cant think of anything better, sorry) noise. when i turn the key the lights on the doors do dim a bit like normal. i have a new battery like 5months old i guess, replaced the alternater and starter. so what do u guys think is causing this malfunction here?

Sounds like a weak battery to me... do the lights/accessories all work as normal?

When did you replace the alternator and starter (as part of trying to solve this problem, or some time ago)?

Did you try jump-start the car?

the alternater and starter were changed some time in mid 2005, so i dont think it could be that stuff. i'll try to give it a jump and see what happens

What happens when you jump it? no cranking or it cranks but doesn't start...

Is the car turning over at all?

have you done anything to the intake lately? anything that would have it choke?

try turning it over and putting your foot on the gas...

also take a hammer / opposite end of a screw driver / any blunt object and hit the starter a few times.

hope one of the above helps.
