engine swap

Has anyone got any info on wether or not I can Swap engines between a 93 Se and a 96 GLE??? I know that the heads are different. The older had VTCs, the newer don't.

I have the chance to buy a 96 GLE, the timing chain is screwed. The car won't even run now. I am afraid that the engine may be trashed. I don't know if these are interference engines or not. The lady has tried to get it started (alot). She had it at the dealer and they told her that it needed a timing chain set. She kept driving it til it quit.

I have a 93 SE that I totaled out. I just got done putting over $1000 in parts in the heads alone. My engine has only 80000 miles. I only drove it for a week after I did all the work. Rolled it end over end first weekend out. It was finally running great.

Wife says that if I don't do something with the engine she will have the whole thing crushed!!

Thank for any help!!!!!
