Tein Basic Coilover Any Good?

Hey guys,

I've been off the forum for quite a while because of moving and a lack of internet at my new place, but here i am looking for advice once again.

I'm looking at buying some 18's and im just wondering if the Tein basic coilover system will give me a nice ride in comparison to say some springs (s-techs, h-techs, progress, whatever) with Illuminas.

I've heard a lot about how great illuminas are, but nobody seems to have used these Tein Coilovers (and i can't afford the JIC-Magic kit either).

tein basic is only height adjustable, the shocks aren't. the shocks on the basic is kinda soft, but for street use is good enough.

i would look into D2s/Ksports cuz they are fully adjustable for similar price compares to the basic.

tein are known for its name n performance n comfortability. I had tein super street on my 2 accord, (still in the garage) but i decided to go with d2 since they came with everything i needed (pillow upper mount and camber plates) plus it was a great price. The reason why you want to have the shocks adjustable is because the nthe strut can still have full travel making the strut itself last longer n have more of a comfortable ride. but get 8/6 or 8/5 for the spring rates. i think that you are able to chose the spring rates for the d2's but not for the k-sports. i have 9/7 running on d2s and i think that its relaly harsh n people who ride sometimes get nauseous..heh

If you're going to invest money in a full damper system you should get something that is more adjustable....
I would not go with the Tein's, personally....
Oh, and any coilover system is going to be better than a spring/strut setup...
