Mounting Air Temp Sensor after CAI Install
Mounting Air Temp Sensor after CAI Install
I just installed my into-the-fenderwell CAI, using the stock midpipe instead of the aftermarket one. When I tried to use all the aftermarket parts, none of the hoses fit and the pipes interfered with the battery location. To get an idea of what it looks like, think of a stock setup from the TB until you get to the airbox, except that now there is a pipe going into the fender.
There was a bung for the air temp sensor on the aftermarket midpipe, but as I said earlier I couldn't get the whole aftermarket assembly to fit properly. Right now I have the stock snorkel still attached because it has a bung for the ATS. Where do you all propose that I relocate it to? The wires going to the sensor are fairly short, so I don't have a lot of options. Do I even need to relocate it?
Your advice is appreciated.

I originally had it disconnected, but it threw a p0110 code. I'll try your suggestion to get the stock snorkel out of the way.
However, why would they put a sensor in the car that has absolutely no purpose?

In the case of my intake, I had to cut away around 3 inches of the insulation to give me some more wire slack and then I tubed the exposed wires after. I would love to help you more, but unfortunately I'm a visual learner and I need some pictures to gawk at or I'm not much use
. Anyways, good luck.
