Looking for lightweight rims

Does anyone happen to have any links or sites that sell good lightweight rims, that arent going to send me broke. I was planning on buying a set of
K1's on tirerack but they dont carry them anymore for the Maxima in 15"s. I may call the tech line and see if they can get a set somehow. I'm looking for 15-16"s in the 10-14lb range preferably. I see a lot of you guys with SSR's, and I cannot find a place selling them in 15s or 16s either. Gram lights are far too expensive, but nice wheels. If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

If gram lights are too expensive you can't afford SSR Comps. But the comps aren't being produced anymore at the moment unless someone buys or bails out SSR from bankruptcy, so they will be hard to find.

Try calling tirerack sometimes they have things still in stock that aren't on the website for whatever reason.

That's why I wanted the K1's, 13lbs only $129 and yes I'm using these for track only, so I dont care too much about looks, just weight. I didnt know how much the SSR's were so I just thought I"d throw it out there. With the other mods I have on the table for this winter and spring, dropping over $1,000 on rims w/o tires is not an option. I"ll try calling tire rack, I know they used to have blank K1's that didnt have bolt patterns in them and they'd drill the holes to spec for what size you needed....maybe they dont offer that anymore. But thanks for everyones help.

93-95 Mazda RX-7 wheels are about 15.5lb each and are 16" / 225 size. Great track and autocross wheel. I think the offset is close to what the Maxima needs. You could go aftermarket of course, but in 16" size you simply can't find a lighter/better wheel for the money.

Remember, money saved on wheels is money put into tires. And tires win races, not wheels.

Perhaps you just missed the part where he just said he can't spend $1000 on rims, let alone $1600 on rims... let us know how well 13s fit over your brakes too.

Stay on them come March/April to make sure you still have em reserved. TR is fantastic but there's lots of hardcore regular buyers looking for those same K1's. Not trying to worry you - just what I'd do.

I can afford those just fine, but I dont want to spend that much on wheels, especially ones that wont be used very often. I can use the extra $500 I saved compared to those and buy a bunch of other mods...or even the tires!! some of them anyways...

When you said TireRack is getting K1s in, do you mean the new K1-TS (split 6 spoke, lighter) or the old style K1s (regular 6 spoke, not quite as light but still pretty light).

Old style K1's....only 3 sets though...1 was left as of when i called at 2pm today. The guy at TR said they're discontinued now, so thats why they only had a few sets. I didnt know about these new K1-TS...perhaps I should've waited. How much lighter are they? The wedsports are pretty nice at 10.XXlbs but once again, 2 of those are more than all 4 of the K1's.

The K1 TS is about 1lb lighter in 15x7 size. I don't like the look of them as much as the old K1 though. I had K1s back in the day, like 3 years ago, and I still love those wheels. The K1 was discontinued like 1.5-2 years ago, that's why I asked which style they were getting. I wonder where they came up with these 3 sets.

Tirerack has also ended their relationship with Kosei, so that's probably why you didn't see the K1 TS listed for the maxima application, we've got a common bolt pattern and offset, so there probably aren't many if any left.

You can see the K1 TS on here.

white only, $129 each.

nealoc- I looked up the K1TS, and that orange, WOW, I cant believe they'd make one in that color! I guess I got lucky that a few sets popped up somehow, I didnt know they'd been discontinued for so long already. TR has listed them on closeout for a while but I was lazy to getting around to ordering them.

Thanks everyone.

Yeah that orange will burn your eyes. Orange and red and green and other weird colored wheels are starting to be the new fad now though, so I'm sure that's why they did it. I saw a red civic the other day with steelies spraypainted red
