What is the differance between Cel light on and CEL light Blinking?
What is the differance between Cel light on and CEL light Blinking? i have a misfire code, and i am waiting on coils.......sometimes te light stays on, and sometimes it flashes? why does it flash?

Blinking indicates servere misfire, and a condition that could adversely affect your catalytic converter. I believe the specifics are stated in the car owner's manul if you have one.

Blinking cel indicates a catalyst damaging misfire but also means that it is happening right then. Once the misfire stops the light will stay on indicating a stored code.

yea i got some messed up coils, so iknow it is a mutiple misfire.....i cannot wait till i get these coils, cause my car sucks..burns gas like hell, and is choppy as ****!
