brake upgrade question

I have new bembo rotors in stock maxima size is there any way to use the 300z caliper with them on the front? I read somewhere on here that it is possible to use them if you mill the rotor down(3-4mm) around the diameter??. If so how much exactly and are the caliper a direct replacement(bolt on)? What problems have people had with this conversion. I know someone (I think jeff) sells a bracket kit to use 13" rotors but I already have these rotors. where can I get the brake lines needed and what do I need to ask for?
Also what about the rears are there any special problems with the rears like the emergecy brake? and is there a difference between the twin turbo and non turbo (30mm-26mm??) 300zx calipers (front and rear)?
edit.....
I could maybe return the rotors I have (unused) so if anyone has information (I.E. Jeff92 on brackets and lines needed as well as price and shipping time please let me know asap) thank you

If you do intend on doing the cobra brake upgrade, I have some rotors if you want to buy them.

With the 300zx conversion, you will need the 300zx rotors which need to be milled down like you said. The calipers will bolt right on without a bracket so you just need the Z calipers, Z rotors, and Z lines. BrianV and blemco has the lines.

I suppose you "might" be able to use the stock rotors with the Z calipers but the Z rotors are much much thicker and it might be offset differently.

Or you can simply buy the brackets from Jeff92se and you can do the cobra conversion with the use of the cobra rotors too

Yes there is. If you want the BBK you need the Turbo (30mm) Calipers. If you just want to use the 300z Rotors then you can use the NonTubro (26mm) Calipers. Also you can not use a stock maxima rotor with any 300z Caliper. They are simply too thin.

ok thanks so I need the 300z rotors (milled) or 13" with kit and the turbo calipers. What about the rear?? can I use the non turbo? and will they just bolt up with the 300z rotors(milled?)

Z has a rear drum assebly, unless you want to conver it to a drum setup, then some good pads and SS lines should do well for the rear.

Clearance will the Z calipers is always an issue.Do you have stock wheels or aftermarket?

Matt Blehm makes a rear conversion kit, but it is pricey. I wanted to make all the calipers match too, but balked at the $1000 price tag for the rear conversion.

Z32 definately has drums. What he forgot to mention is that they are used for the parking brake only. So its a disk/drum set up in the rear.

oh I see. I Thought the parking brake was a problem. Can you relocate the stock calipers to use the bigger rotors?

Check the general forum. It looks like Matt Blehm is working on something.

So as long as I ask for 93+ z32 (turbo or non turbo) is the same BBK correct? I assume that $200 @ autozone is rebuilt?

the front does about 80% of your braking so I don't think I'm going to upgrade the back right now.

^Feel and modulation, my friend, feel and modulation. I rode in a Max with the cobra/Z32 upgrade and you can really feel the braking power, even as a passenger. It's f*cking sick.

Plus they don't look half bad..

are u retarded....for a few track days and weekly auto-x my ABS barely kicks in...i know the sticky tires help...but the intial clamping force and fade resistance on road courses enought was worth it for me.....and not once on normal dry or wet roads have i had ABS kick in.....so u need to go re-think your comments noob
