Hydraulic Bottle jacks?

Just wondering what everyone's opinion of these are. Was about to pick up a 6 ton for 20 bucks at home depot last night, but figured itd be best to ask....

They are usually too tall for any lowered maxima. I don't remember if you can even fit it under a stock max, the ones I have would be close.

They are hot when I adjust my KSports. Jacks the hub up. I like them.

I have one and can't get it under the car, lowered on Eibachs..... usless for me

Bottle jacks are a sturdy, simple design. They are what they use in making a shop hydraulic press. But they dont' have the range of a floor jack, which is why you'll probably only use it to prop up things.

they work fine, if you can fit it under there... i have the most mild drop, (maxspeed springs) and i cant fit it under there... i have to bring it back further then prop it, then move the jack and jack it up again... twice the work

You can buy a small trolley jack from Malwart so cheaply that I don't see why you'd want a bottle jack, which has much less lift.

I never trust bottle jacks. The point of contact to the car is too small.

i wouldnt use one unless its just to prop up something like your motor or something very temp. idono for me ive had one fall on me while i was jacking up a truck scared the crap out of me never use one again.
