I am currrently considering:

Hopefully I will have my A'PEXi next week, and I can let you know what I think.

Other than a annoying drone at 2100-2600 RPM, my Greddy ROCKS. It sounds so deep and totally clean (not ricey at all). Up top it develops a totally GNARLY Whine that sounds like a real dull Supercharger (like an SLK 230 Kompressor).

BTW I have no other mods, so I don't know how it works with the CAI and Ypipe, etc.

I have a '95 Maxima SE 5-spd with a Stillen Hi-Flow Intake and a GReddy Cat-Back Exhaust System. I've had them on now for about 2-3 years. Big improvement over the stock pieces. Good acceleration at the top end. No loss at the low end. Not too loud. Nice low grunt sound as mentioned before. The 110mm double-wall tip looks good. At WOT, you really hear the intake more than the exhaust. On your way past slower traffic, you will see some double-takes from folks that never heard THAT kind of mellow note from a Maxima before! I highly recommend the GReddy. (I'm looking to add a Cattman Y soon.) Enjoy.

Do you think the Greddy Cat back is really worth getting? Because the lowest i have seen it is like 500 bucks. Did you guys just get it for the sound or do you really notice a performance difference?

I installed my Greddy system about 6 months before I put my Stillen intake on. After the cat-back install, I could feel a difference. No dyno test, but a seat 'o da pants increase in acceleration, especially at the top end. I can't feel a loss of bottom end power, despite what I heard about that from others. After I installed the intake, I felt a similar over-and-above gain in power. BTW, after the exhaust and intake were installed, I had a 10-12% gain in MPG. I get a consistent 29-30 mpg out of this car, which now has about 162,000 miles on it! I can't compare this set-up to any others, but I have been very happy with it on my car. Good luck.

Exhaust:

Just about anything that maintains a 2.5" inner diameter behind the catalytic converter should be fine...

The droning comes from the rear muffler sections of most aftermarket exhausts... Much of that is dependent on the shape of the sound chamber of the muffler... My old Stillen rear section had a short length sound chamber... I had another one fabricated at my local exhaust shop that had a longer sound chamber... decent flow but no droning.... Its just a matter of personal taste... I used to like the sound of my Stillen unit, but the sound was just way too loud from 2000-3000RPMs...
