frame cross member problem

I discovered the bolts that hold the frame member which in turn hold the front and rear motor mounts are stripped and I must figure a way to fix the problem by welding into the frame or adding a metal plate.

Does anyone on the org have any experience with this type of problem?
I prefer not to use heliocoils! there is another piece called big serts

http://www.timesert.com/html/bigsert.html

I hope there is enough metal left on the welded cylindrical nut inside the frame to use these!!
Any ideas will be appreciated.
I can't put in the new urethane motor mount inserts until I fix this problem
