my cousin has a 98 se and she called and said her clutch went to the floor. the clutch is about 3 months old and she drives like a kitten so what could it be. i suggested to bleed the slave cylinder (does anyone know how to do this) or check replace slave cylinder, any suggestions?.

 

Have her check under the hood, it could be the Master Cylinder or the Slave Cylinder....the fluid leak will indicate which one it is...looks like she'll be taking it to a shop unless she's handy like that...

I hear you...I lost a master...and the slave was good...but the only way to tell is to check...best of luck with it..

I lost my slave a couple days ago at about 120k. My pedal didnt sit at the floor but it was sticking about halfway..

 

When I had this problem, I replaced my slave and that did not fix it. After that I did the hose going to the slave and that did fix the problem. Mine also crapped out shortly after doing my clutch.

 

thanks guys, it turned out to be just the slave cylinder. we replaced it and the car is back to normal.
