Read the Stickies for that, you do not have to take out the air scoop, but you have to take out at least the upper half of the airbox for the cone filter to fit.

If you read some more you'll find that there is no intake setup that is "better", some just do different things, stock/hacked airbox will retain the smooth feel and quite sound, short ram/pop charger will get you more noise and possibly some top end power at the loss of low end (this set up is also prone to heat soak), and then there are the true CAIs (the one in the fender) this I have heard is the favorite, like a best of both worlds, it doesn't choke out at high rpms and you don't loose any noticable amount in the lower rpms. And on another note I don't know why NmexMAX posts at all.
