So whats up w/ my ECU?

Ive checked codes several times in the past with no problems and never forced the screw past its stopping point. I was checking it tonite though and the screw never stopped spinning. There was absolutely no stopping point - so clearing my 0505 code proved to be interesting. With this have an effect on the ECUs performance. Im guessing I wont be able to check codes this way anymore now. Any help is appreciated - thanks guys.

since the first time I checked codes, my ecu screw has no stop point. Still fully functional.

Just make sure you get it fully turned back or you may have a rough idle.

thanks for the help guys!

nismos14, since ive cleared the 0505 code is it safe to assume that its (the screw) in an ok position? Im not sure how to really get it turned all the way back since it wont stop in either direction. thanks again.

If you were able to reset the light, and its not blinking just solid, then its back in the proper position.

I myself have to just count my turns as I have never had a resistance point.

If your not experiencing rough idle after setting it back to the original position, I wouldn't worry about it . Sounds like your A ok.

isnt the plastic sticker markeded, not sure you are past the point of no return or not, but you could just line it up and tape it or leave it. sounds lame but you might get around it. you could also just buy a new ecu for cheap.
